Zakary’s first experience with Advisors & Partners was in 2019, where he conducted market research and analysis of the freight rail business in Europe. He focused on the environmental, legislative and theoretical aspects of freight rail, through to its implementation. Zakary has since re-joined the firm to assume the role of Transportation Analyst, assisting to the investment advisory team with the day-to-day operation of the Selective European Transportation Equipment Fund (“SETEF”).
Zakary’s primary responsibilities focus on the operations of transport equipment (freight wagons and river barges). Specifically, Zakary is responsible for corporate and market research, maintenance of financial models and valuation tools, assistance with the origination and procurement processes of the assets, in-depth analysis of investment opportunities and preparation of investment memoranda for A&P’s New Deal Origination Committee and Investment Advisory Committee. Zakary is also responsible for the on going monitoring and valuation of investment portfolios.
Education with a BA in Micro-engineering at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (“EPFL”), one of Europe’s top engineering schools.
Zakary has also been an EPFL teaching assistant – Mechanism Construction (2018-2021) and Mechanical Design (2020-2021); his abilities in mathematical analysis, mechanics and coding, as well as his proficiency with mechanical gear, rolling stocks and small electronics, allow for a result-driven approach, where efficiency, control and finding solutions are central.
